Money Exchange and ATM machine are available at the airport.My advise..please get your cash before you go to Perhentian Island.There no ATM or Money exchange .Unless you using merchant cards such VISA or MASTERCARD..almost all resort operator have swap machine cards..with minimum Bankers surcharge 3% to 8% for each transcations.
From airport only take 1 hour to Kuala Besut jetty by Airport Taxi.The fares is RM78 per taxi per way.We also can arrange pick up with minimum charge RM30 per person per way by Shuttle Van. Public Bus also available from Airport to Kota Bahru Town. with minimum charge RM1.50 per person per way,then you need to change other route when you arrive at Kota Bharu Bus Stations to Kuala Besut jetty.The fares is RM9.00 per person per way.Duration journey will take 2 hour by hip on hip off bus running by Transnasional Bus..Bus will depart every 2 hour from Kota Bharu Bus Terminal to Kuala Besut jetty.The earliest depart at 8.00am 10.00am 12.00pm 2.00pm and 4.00pm .Kota Bharu airport are the nearest airport compare Kuala Terengganu airport...to Perhentian Island.
Advance booking would better choice to get cheaper fares,at least 3-4 month before the journey.Otherwise you will pay higher and sometime the route are fully booked.Please avoid to visit Perhentian Island during public holiday,almost room and flight are full.
